From schools to parks, bowling greens to all weather pitches, working with local councils is an important section of employment for the company.
J Mallinson Ormskirk have been working for a long time with Lancashire and Cheshire County Council on developing their sports facilities. These vary from a large landscaping jobs on park areas like at Tatton Park to smaller more intricate work on local bowing greens where a crown needs to be maintained while improvements are made to the drainage and overall performance.
Schools are under constant pressure to improve physical education lessons and it can be very difficult when school pitches are constantly flooded. The firm have worked as part of the Lancashire Schools Playing Field Program to improve the drainage on both primary and secondary school playing surfaces to try and get as much use out of them as possible. They have also worked in higher education with Myerscough College and both Edge Hill and Lancaster Universities.
